The election I have run in to become president has gone as well as I could have hoped. The voting between Aaron Burr and I was considered a tie, but Mr. Hamilton, even through all of our confrontations and arguments, pushed the vote in my favor. So, now I am to be the President of this great nation. Though I am not going to have to deal with the French Revolution (it has just past), I am prepared to deal with the hardships of the debt and cut defense/offensive motives for our military and navy, and deal with the Barbary Pirates that have been trying to launch attacks on our trade commerce with Europe. I am fully willing and happy to protect this nation of equals.

France Minister
Ben Franklin was the previous Minister to France. It is the year of 1785 and I have been offered the spot in place of him. I believe that it would be a great way for me to get experience to work for the government. I have also been appointed as the Secretary of State in President Washington's Cabinent. I believe that Alexander Hamilton will try to confront me later about my sympathy for the French Revolution. If conflicts arise between Mr. Hamilton and I, I shall consider resigning my post.

Louisiana Purchase: SOLD!
I have gone over all possibilities in my head on whether making the purchase of Louisiana territory is a healthy choice or not, and have come to a conclusion. I can only imagine how horrible it would be if France attacked us while we are in such a vulnerable position, so I have decided to buy the land from the French. I have given the 15 million dollars to them in hopes of having them retreat back to their homeland. I have noted as well that most of the Americans agree with me in the action of buying Louisiana land for the well-being of our nation. Everyone, including me, is hoping that we will get good trade from this new land, because we would love to have a boost to our economics!

Louisiana Purchase
Everyone knows how I feel about France, they are not a stable government. I think that having them as our neighbors would not allow safe trade and exploration. I know that where my morals are set, I would not be able to see myself buying the Louisiana property because of the general fundamental properties of it are not named in the Constitution, alas, I have found that having land under the name of France being so near makes me nervous. Right now, they are under control of more than 800,000 square miles! I have been given a price of fifteen million dollars for the whole of it. I think that if I do not act now and buy this land, France shall think about an attack. I shall get back to you on how I deal with this.

Hello, I am Thomas Jefferson. I was born April 13, 1743 and my religion is Unitarianism (which has caused some talk around home).I have decided that my stance in politics is with the Democratic-republicans, so that is where I am placed in labeling. I think that government should be controlled by someone who can lead a country without becoming a tyrant. I believe that Federalists have a poor opinion on how government should be run and I think that the states should have more power than they have been given in the past. We are not living in England anymore! We should have Democracy! After all, I have sworn upon the altar of GOD eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.
